WHY ARE YOU OBLIGED TO HAVE A RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF EMPLOYMENT?
The foreigner´s obligation to arrange a long-term residence for the purpose of employment is based on the following law:
Act no. 435/2004 Coll., on employment, § 89, paragraph 1.
"A foreigner may be recruited and employed if he holds a valid employee card, internally transferred employee card or blue card, unless this Act provides otherwise."
! Attention: If you are illegally employed in the Czech Republic, you and your employer face the risk of high sanctions, i.e.
- For employers up to CZK 10,000,000
- For employees up to CZK 100,000
